Minnesota store sweetens Dark Tower midnight promo

The Source Comics and Games adds incentives to stay up late at their store tomorrow night

A while back, I wondered aloud whether or not fans would really line up in the middle of the night just to buy the first issue of Marvel's Dark Tower comic. I speculated that it might be "a fun opportunity for stores to be able to hold a special event of some kind" though, and at least one store has figured out how to make it just that.

My local comics shop, The Source Comics and Games in Saint Paul (really Falcon Heights, but who's counting?), Minnesota sent out a newsletter yesterday announcing their plans for the event.

Tomorrow, February 6th, the store will stay open until 1:00 a.m. with The Dark Tower becoming available at midnight. But as a bonus, not only will Dark Tower be available at midnight, but also the rest of the new comic book titles for the week.

And as an extra bonus, everyone who shows up for the special midnight release will get a "20% off" coupon good for a future purchase at the store.

I'm curious about what other stores are doing to sweeten the midnight promotion.
