FRIDAY CONTEST!

Win ELK'S RUN BUMPER EDITION!

As the holiday season gets going, I thought it would be a nice idea for Comic World News to do a little gift-giving to its readers. Every Friday – until we run out of stuff to give away, anyway – we’re going to hold an easy contest with free comics as the booty.

All you have to do is send an email to michaelmay@ michaelmay.us with the subject “CWN Friday Contest.” Each week I’ll have some question or other I’d like you to answer in the email, but there won’t be right or wrong answers. I’ll put all the emails into a hat and draw a random winner, who will be announced the following Friday along with the next question for the next prize.

Easy enough? Good.

This week you’re playing for critical darling Elk’s Run Bumper Edition from Speakeasy Comics. It collects the first three issues of Joshua Hale Fialkov and Noel Tuazon’s Elk’s Run and gets you all caught up for the upcoming fourth issue. I wanted to start this contest series off on a good foot and I can’t think of a better prize to do that with. If you haven’t read Elk’s Run, you’re in for a treat.

Fialkov has gone to great lengths to make sure people have heard about this book. It’s been written up in some impressive publications and he’s been all over the Internet promoting it. What I want to know from you in your email is: Where did you first hear about Elk’s Run? If this contest is the first you’re hearing of it, that’s cool. If you don’t remember, that’s a fair answer too. Like I said, no right or wrong here. Just email your response to michaelmay@michaelmay.us and I’ll announce the winner next Friday.

Oh, it probably goes without saying, but Comic World News staff are disqualified from the Friday Contest.

Thanks and Good Luck!

Michael
